My primary research interest lies in the multi-wavelength diagnostics of the pre-
evolution phase brightenings associated with the impending events such as the
flux-rope triggering, filament eruption and, solar flares. The scientific research
carried out by me in this direction resulted in the key findings mentioned as fol-
lows. Investigation of the flare plasma parameters in the various phases of the
eruptive phenomena enabled to establish the role of non-thermal electrons as well
as other heating mechanisms (conduction) to be responsible for the precursor X-ray
enhancements. Thermal characteristics of the flare plasma, derived by combining
X-ray spectra of unprecedented energy and temporal resolution from the Solar X-
ray Spectrometer (SOXS, Indian) and the SphinX (Polish) instruments revealed
the evolution of multi-temperature plasma from the rise to the gradual phase of
the flare. My acquaintance on the numerical simulations include the hydrodynamic
simulation employing Palermo-Harvard (PH) 1D code to deduce various plasma
parameters during the the evolution of flare loop and synthesis of H and Fe line
profiles using the RH 1D radiative transfer code (developer: Prof. H. Uitenbroek).
Further, during my PhD, I installed and prepared data-reduction pipeline of a
10-cm aperture H telescope at Physical Research Laboratory, India.
